I'd like you to meet the newest addition to my kitchen. Isn't it beautiful? I haven't actually used it yet, but even so, I love that it came with a motorized base AND a free hand crank base too.This is going to be fun! :)

Frankly, I went through a few grain mills back in the day (I'm sure they are better now) but the best one I ever used was the one that attaches to my Kitchen Aid! (and it's not mine, I borrow it when I need it).
What I really love is that you can make nearly instant soups by grinding dried split peas into powder, then adding boiling water and seasonings...no all day cooking!! You can do this with other grains and dried veggies too, like garbanzo beans, etc. I'm sure with your sleuthing ability, you can find recipes!!
