After your little brother is in bed and the house is quiet,
there's just nothing like curling up with a good book next to a warm fire,
especially when you're already in your jammies.
Daughter #3 opted for some poetry tonight:
Shel Silverstein, to be exact.

Daughter #1 is reading Prince Caspian
(from the Chronicles of Narnia)...
...for the second time in two days.
***
Daughter #2 is tackling The Spirit of St. Louis
by Charles Lindbergh
(because Daddy liked it).

Awesome! I remember when I was 12 and an adult asked me what book I had last read and I shocked him by saying, "Killer Angels" (about the battle of Gettysburg). Yay for a love of reading from an early age! :-)
Love it, Carrie! You'd fit right in here! :) Our family's most recent "shockers" backfired on us...the girls loved (after Daddy pre-read) James Fenimore Cooper's The Pioneers, Deerslayer, and Last of the Mohicans, (NOT easy reading!) but when people asked what they'd read and were answered, the response tended to be "The What by James Who?" :)
I feel another blog post coming on... :)
It is what our house looks like in the evening too! Comfy pjs too! Love it all such sweetness.
