I jotted down some of your titles, but I am so behind on reading. I have about 5 books going right now. Some of them are probably too intense to be reading concurrently, such as The Hiding Place and Hinds Feet in High Places. But they are so good. Hinds Feet - I hardly started it, and I was weeping.

Yes, Laura, it's "our" Owen! And, Owen being Owen, it was a really fun read! :)
Both of my oldest girls re-read The Hiding Place this weekend. I've never been able to make it through that book without crying.
Most of the books I read last year were books I was pre-reading for my kids (for school), but the few "adult books" that made it on the list ended up being ones that I really enjoyed. As a result, John Buchan, Anthony Esolen and Peter Leithart are some of my newest favorite authors.
I know the feeling of being behind on reading! My "to-read" pile is almost two feet tall - such luxury! My pile of books I'm in the middle of reading is very small, with books by Doyle, a Kempis, Leithart, and Twain, and I'm torn between wanting to rush through them to get to the next ones and wanting to actually think my way through them. Such a delightful dilemma, isn't it? :)

I really need to do a post about the list of books of what we read for each grade. And, what I read as well. I have a list that I have printed out and I highlight as we go and I write in books all the time as well and then high light them as I add more! I am a little silly about the whole list of books thing. I think! ;) I am trying to get pictures in of the read alouds as we go about our daily picture taking and task!
We were supposed to come your way three times already. The time line changes regularly on our end. It is ridiculous. Maybe a real life visit will happen by the year is out. I hope! He keeps having "others" due the inspections because other matters keep him from being able to take the trip. We are Rucker again for the Fixed Wing IP class right now.
